MATT'S STORY
Every year, Matt Jolley’s voice carries across the crowds of the biggest airshows in America and beyond—places like Pacific Airshow, America's Airshow at Miramar, and plenty more. He’s been trusted to work MAJCOM airshows for the United States Air Force, major events for the Department of the Navy, and is a familiar voice at many of the country’s top civilian shows.

Matt doesn’t just talk airplanes—he flies them. He’s a rated pilot, vintage military aircraft owner, and a proud member of the International Council of Air Shows. That mix of experience means when he’s on the mic, the stories ring true.
Away from the flightline, Matt is a career broadcaster and a national Edward R. Murrow Award–winning broadcast journalist. He founded WarbirdRadio.com and co-created SHOW CENTER: The Airshow Podcast, which picked up a Platinum Pinnacle Award from the International Council of Air Shows and was also featured prominently in Netflix’s 2025 summer hit Air Force Elite – Thunderbirds, where Matt and the show appeared throughout.
He’s also been back on television as co-host of the Pacific Airshow on Hulu, where the broadcast became the #1 live-streamed event on the platform both years. And if you’ve ever trained with Sporty’s Pilot Shop courses, there’s a good chance you’ve already learned from Matt’s voice.
Matt is passionate about aviation and loves sharing it with new audiences. As he puts it: “Introducing aviation to new audiences is one of the greatest honors of my life. I truly believe it’s our country’s coolest export—right up there with rock-n-roll. Sharing it with the next generation—the ones who will design, build, and fly the next cool thing—is what drives me every day.
